What I’m Working On…

I’m quite often working on more than one piece of writing at a time, and at the moment, it’s no exception. To start with I was working on a short story for a call for submissions. I got a tad stuck on it, so then I started writing the next book in my EC For Men series, A Taste of Rome. Then, randomly, I decided to start something for another call for submissions. In a way, working on several pieces helps because if I get stuck on one piece, I can jump around, and, as long as I’m writing something, it’s all good. However, it can also be bad when I have deadlines, because I might get hooked on something that doesn’t have a deadline, or a later deadline, when really, I need to work on the one that needs finishing first. Somehow, I juggle everything so that I don’t miss deadlines, but I do scare myself sometimes!

The things I’m working on are all pretty different. Piece number one is a short story about a woman visiting Amsterdam, where she has an incident with a bike, which leads to something much sexier. Piece number two is, as I mentioned, A Taste of Rome, where my gap-year boys are travelling the world before heading to University. Their current antics, as I’m sure you’ve guessed, are in Rome. Piece number three is another m/m for a call for submissions with a military theme – my favourite!

So, with all my juggling, only time will tell if I finish all three pieces in time… watch this space 🙂

P.S. This week, I’ve had four acceptances, woohoo! One piece is an m/m for an anthology (I’m still waiting on the contract, so I’m not going to say any more than that), another is a Rubenesque novella for Ellora’s Cave, called Mean Girls. The third is a femdom BDSM novella for Secret Cravings Publishing, called Testing Tom. The fourth is another m/m, for Ellora’s Cave, which doesn’t yet have a title, as my original one had already been used. I haven’t had a contract for this one yet, but my editor accepted it, so it’s pretty much all good. Happy dancing here! 😀

P.P.S. In a few short days, it’s time for the Dirty Birdies Flock Hop, which promises awesome prizes and hot eye candy. Don’t miss it!
