A Sinful Tune by Wendi Zwaduk

From the Three’s a Charm Anthology

Short Story

Totally Bound

M/F/M, M/F, Menage, Anal Sex

Two hot rockers and one girl…what could go wrong?

Robbie thought when he formed his band he’d get the girls, the gigs and the money. He’s got the gigs, but the money is a little slower in coming. He’s also got more than a few secrets. He wants the band to succeed, but even more, he wants to find the one woman who can accept him—warts and all, but also with his best friend Dillon involved.

Dillon loves Robbie like a brother. Robbie’s his other half in the music world. He handles the words while Robbie writes the music for the band. But all the music in the world isn’t enough if they don’t have their perfect third—Jess. She hits all the right notes for him and Robbie. The only issue? She may not accept their love in return.

Jess has followed the band for years and worked her way up to selling their merchandise. She knows their music almost as well as they do, but doubts they’d want to be with her. She’s so unlike the other women they’ve had—she’s short, curvy and a purple-haired Goth. When Robbie and Dillon hang out with her after one of the gigs, she has a choice to make. Either head home and wonder or let go of her fears and give the two men of her dreams the chance to make her fantasies come to life.

Reader Advisory: This book contains scenes of double penetration.

“What if we asked her out? We’ve been dancing around it forever. You want her. I do. She likes hanging out with us and she never shies away when we kiss her.” He met Robbie’s gaze. “I’m serious. What if we were the ones who took the first step?”

“And say what?” Robbie frowned. “I like her and would love to snag her between us, but what do we say? ‘Hey, babe. We’ve chosen you. How about it? Do you want to be with us?’ She’d laugh and walk out. What about saying she’d be better off with us on either side? She’d think we were going to use her. She deserves better than a couple of rock and roll wannabes.”

“Well, yeah.” Dillon snorted. “If we approach her like that, then I’d be shocked if she didn’t run away. Finesse would be good.” He rested his arm on Robbie’s shoulder. “Think about it. She’s got that Goth, funky but beautiful look to her. She’s never balked at our behavior, either. She’s a little rough, but dependable.”

“She’s a good worker, sure, but you make her sound like a set of tires.” Robbie shrugged. “I’d love to ask her out, but I’m afraid she’d turn me down. You know me and my life. I’m no good for her. Besides, if she said yes, then how can I be sure she’d consider both of us? I’m not in the mood to put myself out there only to be turned down again. I’d rather be alone.”

“We won’t know until we try.” Dillon hadn’t realized how deep Elaine’s leaving had messed with Robbie until that moment. He hadn’t thought Robbie and Elaine were going to go the distance, but he hadn’t expected her to be so rotten. He’d never heard Robbie mention being happier alone. Robbie was a relationship kind of guy. Then again, so was he. Hell, for all he knew, she could be the one. A vision of her snuggled up between them came to mind. He longed to run his fingers through her purple hair and kiss her breathless. Tingles surged through his body—the thrill of playing music mixed with his desire for Jess. Oh, shit. He only felt that way when he picked up his guitar. Yeah, it was time to speak up.

“Then why don’t we talk to her and try to figure this out…after we play music?”

Raven’s got a Rollicking Regency Romance out today, and she’s happy…

Plus a bit confused. My lovely hubby has been away a lot for work lately, and it was only at 8am I realised that indeed today is Tuesday, release day and my turn to chat here.

So I’m going to hold my hand up and say that yeah, it’s a bit of self promo blow my own trumpet look this is the book type post.

Be nice to me and don’t shout. I’ve already put my hot coffee in the fridge and tried to drink out of the empty milk jug. Then put my dirty plate back in the cupboard! Yeah, I need more coffee….

Ahh now I can be a bit more coherent maybe.

So, without further ado (because I need to drink the coffee this time)

Drum roll

and because I just love this way of showing the blurb…

and a wee tease…

The door swung open and Theresa turned to him. “My lord, would you like to come in?”

He hesitated. Theresa raised one eyebrow. Not so effective as when he did it, she was sure, but her best effort. However, he grinned, kissed her cheek, drew back and nodded. “I needed that.”

He did? “Why?” She was genuinely perplexed. It was the briefest touch, over almost before it began, and in full view of any passerby.

Jamie shrugged. “Do I need a reason?”

It was her turn to nod. “I rather think you do.”

“I crave your touch,” he said.

His diffidence was hitherto unknown to her, and it appealed more than perhaps it should.

“Which,” he continued, “is not easy to admit.” He lifted his hand toward her and let it drop by his side again. “It is, at the risk of sounding big-headed, usually the other way around.”

Out of the corner of her eye Theresa saw Roberts, her major-domo, beam and look benevolent before he tactfully turned his head. However discrete Jamie tried to be, someone would always notice. They were in luck that this time it was Roberts, who was in agreement the rest of her staff in hoping more would come of this alleged liaison.

“Crave, thirst for, covet…” Jamie sighed. “Lust after. However, I’m sure one touch would not be enough. You’re in my blood.”

Craving wasn’t good enough but it was a start. Even so, she dipped her head and spoke in a whisper. “And you mine.”

What’s your conscience called? #RavenRamblings @RavenMcAllan

Hi all. Welcome to a Raven rambling post on Dirty Birdies.

Yes, it is a fact. I ramble. And often end up nowhere near where I meant to be.

Hey ho. It’s interesting, if nothing else.

Now then, did you now I have a conscience called Doris?

It’s true.

My Doris conscience nags me, pushes and prods me, praises me, shouts at me, and remind me of my obligations. And boy am I glad.

You see when I’m in the throes of a W I P, I sadly tend to ignore most things. Except wine, coffee, chocolate and Dh (mainly because he won’t let me).

Yep I freely admit, I know I have blogs to do posts to post, people to chat do and very sadly washing and ironing to sort out. I kid you not, my ironing basket is not a basket. It’s a cupboard in the hall, and the doors are having a hard time shutting on the shirts in there, it’s full to bursting. And I blank them all out.

Luckily my Doris conscience doesn’t hit me over the ironing. I do it when it is necessary. (At least 5 shirts a week, and anything else with a protest and only when necessary.) If I ever get rich I’m getting someone to do it for me.

But the rest?

Oh boy do I need her.

I admit I’m not the best person when it comes to remembering blogs. I find them hard. Incredibly hard. Not just blowing my own trumpet about a release, but about talking about myself.

I can’t believe anyone one is interested about me, and what I get up to. Not really.

Luckily, my conscience does, and I trust her.

I’ll be honest I’m happy chatting about my books, and the, ‘well, I just sit and write until it’s written’ stuff, but apart from that?

I’m a growing old disgracefully bus pass holding granny, who writes Romance.

Looks at Doris

Okay not enough.

Let’s see.

The other day, I couldn’t get into our village as the road was flooded. Someone asked if I was okay food wise. I was. I had my favourite ‘foods’ wine, coffee and chocolate. A lovely tbr pile on my eReader, lots of old favourites on that and the shelves. I don’t have one particular favourite book, there’s too many to choose from. Ditto music though I’m a bit of an aged hippy so anything from Woodstock goes down well.

I love the sun and warmth, hate rain and cold. Snow can come for a day as long as I don’t have to go out in it, but then I want it to melt overnight. It never does.

I love travelling, can say please/thank you/may I have wine/the bill/where are the toilets please, in a fair few languages, and can’t imagine not writing.

Hows that? Doris nodded

Doris looks at me in what I can only describe as a pointed manner See a conscience niggling me. What have I forgotten?

Oh glory, yes.

This last week I have the double joy of two books now on general release. Secrets Learned, which is the 5th book in my Diomhair series set in a restored Scottish Castle

and Bombers Moon, a WW2 story set in Northamptonshire, and loosely based on takes my mum told me. I had such fun remembering all those anecdotes and putting them into a book. Not everything is true to her, but my nan and aunts snippets about them and their friends were a great help as well. There’s such a satisfying feeling when you can add even a tiny idea that if you didn’t experience yourself you knew someone who did. And it seems it wasn’t all doom and gloom in those days!

Who gets caught by the man of her dreams bare-assed and halfway up a wall? Lady Chrissie Stride, of course.

It’s just her luck that she encounters Baronet Archie Duggan. On top of that, the house her London employers requisitioned to keep its staff safe from The Blitz is locked. Climbing the wall seemed like a good idea, until Archie turns up. At least he doesn’t seem to know it’s her.

Archie recognizes Chrissie almost immediately. He never expected to meet her again in deepest Northamptonshire. This time around he is determined to claim the woman he loved and lost. With the war on, priorities change, and love is too important to conform to niceties.

Will the star-crossed lovers finally find their happily ever after?

I don’t make New Year resolutions, but I have vowed to me and my conscience I’ll do my best to chat more, talk about my books and not get so involved in my WIP I burn the dinner.

I haven’t vowed to do more housework.

Hey the dust bunnies would be so upset if I moved them…

Until the next time,

Happy reading,
