(Sort of) New Releases Galore! #erotica #romance

Hi everyone,

As always, I’ve been a very busy bee of late. This time, it’s due to having received rights back to three more of my books. I’ve re-released them all with brand new (and totally gorgeous!) covers and lower prices. Please note, though, if you’ve read any of them before, the content hasn’t changed. So here goes…

Illicit Relations (M/M erotic romance novella)

Terry’s had a crush on his second cousin Justin for what seems like forever. He’s hidden it as well as possible, knowing that the other man is out of bounds, forbidden fruit. Second cousins getting together isn’t actually illegal, but for Justin the relationship is too close—he just can’t contemplate them being together.

But when some new information comes to light about Terry’s birth and his place in the family, the whole game changes. Suddenly the relationship isn’t so impossible, and things soon begin to get hot and heavy.

Mean Girls (M/F BBW erotic romance novella)

Adele Blackthorne is a big girl, a curvy chick. She knows it, and she’s been picked on all her life because of it. But she’s gotten to the stage where she doesn’t care. She may be Rubenesque, but she’s healthy, too. Much healthier than the mean girls at the leisure center that point and stare and say spiteful things about her. Adele rises above it all, and simply enjoys her secretive glances at the center’s hunky lifeguard, Oliver.

As the bullying of Adele becomes worse, Oliver finds it increasingly difficult not to intervene. He doesn’t want to get into trouble with work, but equally he can’t stand to see Adele treated in such a horrible way. Especially since he doesn’t agree that she’s fat and unattractive. He thinks she’s a seriously sexy woman, and would like to get to know her better. Much better.

Grand Slam (co-authored with Lily Harlem, M/F BDSM sports romance novel)

California had seduced me with promises of a new life working at Los Carlos Tennis Academy. What I didn’t expect was the dark, brooding number one seed, Travis Connolly, resisting my help. He wasn’t interested in my psychology skills. Instead his attention was drawn to the edgy, sharper corners of my desires, proving that they existed, setting me challenges and driving me crazy to the point of combustion.

I’m the best tennis player in the world—officially—so why would I need a damn woman full of psychobabble to get me on form? Despite my irritation, however, I can’t resist pushing Marie Sherratt’s buttons even though doing that shows her the darkest shades of my lust, the parts of me I buried deep. So I set her a challenge, one she rises to, one that has me rising too, and before long my game relies on her calling the shots, hitting the target and bending to my will. One thing was certain, being not just master of the court, but also of Marie is seriously good for my soul.

Now I’ve (hopefully) convinced you to load up your eReaders, I’ll love you and leave you, and I’ll be back later in the month with a post that’s going to involve lots of discussion! In the meantime…

Happy Reading,

How Do You Feel About Pre-Orders? by Lucy Felthouse (@cw1985)

Hi everyone,

I have a question for you today… how do you feel about pre-orders on books? I’m not talking about from the author perspective, where if you get enough pre-orders you increase your chances of hitting a bestseller list, etc. I mean as a reader. If you can pre-order a book, will you? Will you click that button and let technology do the rest? Or will you hang on until the book is actually released, or hang on until pay day and get your copy? Does it depend on the price? On the author?

I’m genuinely intrigued by what people think on this topic. With the work I have available and coming up through publishers, of course I have no choice in whether it goes onto pre-order or not. Some publishers do it, others don’t. I guess it depends on how far ahead they work in editing and scheduling new releases.

But when it comes to self-publishing, I quite like having that option there as a backup. I’m the sort of person that likes to plan ahead, get things done. I’m not a last-minute type of person. So if I can get a book completed, edited and ready to upload, I prefer to do so. Then if real life intervenes or something goes wrong, at least I know, through the magic of technology, that the book will release anyway.

It also means there’s more time to fix things if they do happen to go wrong, or if the various retailers are slow in approving books. And it means that purchase links are generally available in plenty of time for release.

So for me, I like pre-order as it makes lots of things easier and less stressful. But what about you? Do you bother with it?

Happy Reading,

Lucy x

Writing a Series

by Lucy Felthouse

A Taste of LondonThe third book in my first series was released today – yay! A Taste of Rome is part of the World of Sin series. Ellora’s Cave require an author to have three books in a series before it becomes an official series so I should end up with the book pages being tweaked across various retailers and so on. Books one and two are A Taste of London and A Taste of Paris respectively.

I now also have a series blurb:

Ryan Stonebridge and Kristian Hurst are taking a year off before starting University and travelling the world together. They’re footloose and fancy free, and their aim is to just kick back and have fun. Naturally, this involves booze and girls. Lots of girls.

I’ve had lots of fun writing this series so far. Granted, each book is a short story, but there’s plenty of heat and action packed into each one – and I still have to take care with continuity, character names, who did what, or should I say who did who…

These books have been a great way for me to dip my toes into the series water. I’m already working on another series with fellow Dirty Birdie Lily Harlem – the Raw Talent books – the first of which is a full length novel, Grand Slam. Book two is a solo novella (coming out in May, I think), then we have another novel in the works. These titles overlap in the timeline, so that makes things more complex, but I like to stretch myself, give myself challenges so with some careful planning I’m sure it’ll all work out in the end.

Both of these series have definitely been challenging but fun and I look forward to adding more books to each. Which reminds me, I really ought to get on with writing A Taste of Amsterdam, hadn’t I?

Happy Reading,

Lucy x

A Taste of RomeRyan Stonebridge and his friend Kristian Hurst have travelled to London and Paris on their “gap year” adventure, before starting university. Now it’s on to Rome.

The American girls they met in Paris are along for the ride, providing lots of sexy fun for the boys. But as no one in the foursome is looking for commitment, there’s still plenty of scope for hooking up with the locals. Voyeurism, cougars, risky outdoor sex and threesomes abound in the Italian leg of the boys’ European adventure.
