Happy Holidays!! (@KaceyHammell) #Writing #Author

Good morning everyone! Happy Holidays!

The days are flying by faster and faster, aren’t they? It feels like we just celebrated Christmas last year. Summer flew by in the blink of an eye. We had a long hot drought through this summer and I was glad to see it end. But now there’s white stuff covering everything. Looks pretty but makes for some treacherous road conditions.

Kids start their Christmas holidays here at the end of the day tomorrow. My boys have never been happier to see the holidays arrive. School isn’t what it used to be, they are finding the teachers sarcastic and grumpy, and butting into their personal lives. I could go on for hours about a conversation I had with the principal last week, but I’ll spare you those details.

I just celebrated my 42nd birthday last week. It was phenomenal. I’m not one who cares about birthdays much or getting older, but it was lovely to have the kids and hubby spoil me rotten a bit extra. I never turn down presents or extra hugs and kisses! LOL

Book wise, I’m writing 2 stories at the moment. Back and forth and both are going well, but not fast enough – for my liking. I’ve been trying to take it one day at a time, write 2-3  one hour sprints during the day to keep myself moving and get other things accomplished as well but it’s not always as many words as I hope for at the end of every day.

I also received edits from my publisher for my next release, “Payback’s a Bitch” (formerly pubbed Prank Me), which will be out in the new year. It is such a fun story. I loved writing it, and the opportunity to add to it for re-release. I love revisiting old characters.

So watch for that book next year, as well as “Guarding His Anchor” (Canadian Muscle #2, sequel to Guarding Midnight). And of course more as each story is completed. I can’t wait to share new books with you.

Until next year, have a wonderful and safe holiday! May all your loved ones surround you with love and laughter throughout the holidays, and may all your prayers be answered.
