Good morning all. Kacey here, wishing you a Happy Hump Day. And happy St. Patrick’s Day which is fast approaching.
I’ve always been a writer who believes in “writing what you know”. And that includes everything from places visited by myself or family, personal experiences, heritages and a lot in between. True life can quite often enhance a story, intentional or not for some, and it puts me into the story a lot more intricately when this happens.
Case in point is the redheads that I write. I have many stories that do feature the sassy, feisty and flaming hair heroines who take very little crap from anyone and give the heroes a hard fought run for the money. As many know I have a temper that matches the red in my hair quite well and I make no bones in living up to the standards of the “legend” that comes with being part of such a breed.
St. Patrick’s Day has always been a “holiday” I enjoy celebrating and some years I get quite carried away with everything green and crazy. LOL
Today I thought I’d share one of my favourite beverage recipes I’ve enjoyed over the years.
The Lucky Leprechaun
1 part Melon Liqueur (like Midori)
1 part Coconut Rum (like Malibu)
6 parts Pineapple juice Lime wedge for garnish
Pour ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake briefly.
Pour over ice in a tall glass. Garnish with a lime wedge.
Be sure to check out my “In the Arms of the Law Series”. Book 1, Illusions has one of the most stubborn heroines I’ve ever written. Illusions is on sale currently for 99 cents in celebration of book 2, Awakenings, releasing in late February.
